For most of my life, I had a frustrating pattern: I’d start a project with excitement, make a little progress, then jump to the next shiny thing before finishing the first. Sound familiar?
I wasn’t lazy — I just lacked clarity. I was trying to do everything at once and ended up finishing nothing. It was exhausting.
Then I made one simple change: I started focusing on just two core priorities each day. I call them my Two Pillars. And everything changed.
When you try to chase 10 goals at once, you make a little progress on each — or none at all. But when you commit to just two, your mind locks in. You know exactly what matters today. You know what deserves your energy.
I discovered I could have crazy focus on my goals — but only when my goals were minimal. The less I tried to do, the more I actually did.
I used to constantly change direction — always wondering if the path I was on was the right one. I’d start something, then second-guess myself, thinking, “Maybe this isn’t for me.” Now, I take the time to choose my goals with intention. I set a time frame, commit fully, and don’t allow myself to stray until I reach the endpoint I decided on. That clarity has been a game changer.
By limiting my focus, I finish what I start. I stay consistent. And I go to bed knowing I lived with purpose.
If you’re tired of being busy but not fulfilled, I challenge you: pick just two things a day that really matter. Make them your non-negotiables. You’ll be amazed how much progress you can make by doing less — but doing it with intention.
Your life doesn’t need more effort. It needs more focus.
