Welcome to the Two Pillars Framework. I’m Dan — and I’m glad you’re here.

Over the past year, life forced me to re-evaluate everything. I was prediabetic, had high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and needed daily antacids just to get by. Despite having a good job in IT and a clear retirement plan, something was missing.

Then I became a grandfather. And with my adult kids living far away, I knew I had to change — for them and for myself.

My Turning Point

I started watching videos on self-discipline. Then I read David Goggins’ books, and everything shifted. I stopped waiting for the “right time” and started putting in the work.

Result? I lost over 50 pounds, eliminated my sleep apnea and acid issues, and began chasing professional certifications — like the CCNP and, eventually, the CCIE.

The Birth of the Two Pillars

Waking up at 4 a.m. and grinding worked... for a while. But it wasn’t sustainable. I wanted to build a life, not just a routine. That’s when I created the Two Pillars Framework: extreme focus on just two goals at a time.

Why This Site Exists

I built this site initially as a journal. I’m an IT guy — spinning up a site is second nature. But what started as personal notes became something more. A system. A mindset. A reminder. And maybe even a path for others.
